Inspirations & Influences

As creative individuals, our inspirations come from a variety of sources. Sometimes, an entire project will take shape based on a single idea, image or pattern. In the recently completed Hotel Indigo Singapore Katong, which is nestled in the heart of a traditional Peranakan enclave, we took inspiration from vibrant batik prints and quilted rugs. The floor plan, from an early design stage, shows how we applied the array of colours, prints and patterns to bring the Hotel’s Pavilion to life.
