The Stones Hotel
Legian, bali
In keeping with the Balinese tradition of indoor/outdoor living, a generous roof terrace, complete with infinity pool overlooking the Indian Ocean and horizon, was provided. To enhance this setting, the eco.id team employed warm tones such as mustards and creams to lend vivacity to the space, providing a counterpoint to the intense ocean blues in the daytime while picking up the warmth of the sunset palette.
“Regal tones such as navy, bone, gold and bronze characterised the interior. These gave definition to the sprawling, high-ceilinged internal spaces.”
“Muted shades complement the creamy marble- and teak-clad bathroom and study areas.”
Regal tones such as navy, bone, gold and bronze characterised the interior. These gave definition to the sprawling, high-ceilinged internal spaces. A sense of opulence was also derived from the use of lush materials in the soft furnishings – carpets, cushions and curtains – which were textured and embellished, for example with gleaming appliqués.
The furnishings themselves are sleek and contemporary in order to balance the sumptuousness, while decorative accessories in muted shades complement the creamy marble- and teak-clad bathroom and study areas. Ultimately, these refined choices speak of exquisite taste, reflecting the stature and decorum of the Suite’s occupants.
