Silk Court (Public Areas)
Songshan, Taipei
Inspired by the development emblem, a delicate foyer within the grand lobby has four corners defined by the soft sheer laminated curved glass under a metal lattice of grids and circles. Centre of this suspends a large crystal ring pendant over a large mango wood vase.
The design ethos of the common areas is about balance and contrast; melding East meets West, balancing nature and urbanity.
The design objective of the common areas is to create a timeless and elegant ambience that hint of the oriental location of this project. Interior spaces are given a more architectural approach rather than a decorative one.
“Honest luxury comes in the form of fully maximising the inherent beauty of the materials applied.”
Large natural split faced granites are contrasted with polished white marble. Bespoke cast metal doors are complimented with shagreen detailing.
Furniture pieces selected are contemporary pieces from Minotti complimented with bespoke pieces such as side tables that celebrate the craftsmanship of Asian techniques of lacquering, bronze casting and parchment making.
In addition, the circular patterns found in the lounge area continue all the way through to Silk Court’s infinity pool as well.
